Muslim Women’s Alliance Scholarship program annually empowers female students seeking higher education. Each year, as part of our Aisha Scholarship program, MWA grants two Illinois Muslim girls scholarships for higher education. Named after one of the most outstanding scholars in the history of Islam, the legacy of Aisha (R) will continue to live on today as MWA empowers women seeking knowledge.

This Women’s History Month, Muslim Women’s Alliance welcomed hundreds of women to this year’s MWA Celebrate Muslim Women Expo. Thank you to all of our volunteers, our sponsors, and our sisters who joined us for one of the most exhilarating events we’ve ever hosted.
Congratulations once again to MWA’s 2019 Inspiring Woman Award recipients: Zakiyyah El-Amin, Maaria Mozaffar and Itedal Shalabi. Their community work and activism empowers and uplifts the entire Muslim community.
Chicago was left in awe by the power and transformative words of Ustadha Ieasha Prime. She left no doubt about the blessed status of women in Islam. We thank Ustadha Ieasha for her dedication to join us and she did not skip up a beat as she went from the plane to the podium.
The entire MWA board of directors, program managers and volunteers march into this year with renewed commitment to develop women leaders, foster community service, mentor high school and college girls and empower and bring awareness to the community on social justice and gender equity issues.
